Single-cell Transcriptome Profiling Identifies Phagocytosis-related Dual-feature Cells in A Model of Acute Otitis Media in Rats

We undertook single cell RNA sequence to explore systematically the landscapes of middle ear mucosa (MEM) cells in healthy rats and rats suffering from Acute Otitis Media (AOM). In this way, we aimed to further clarify alterations in the MEM after exposure to pro-inflammatory stimuli and the intercellular crosstalk within a multicellular ecosystem and identify novel cell types with unique molecular features and functions.
