"Phasor Measurement Unit (PMU) data is of great interest for research and education, but there are few public sources of PMU data with system parameters. This work created, and shares publicly, an experimental PMU dataset, including the validated system model and parameters, based on an experimental scaled, emulated 7 bus power system using common PMUs. The laboratory was designed and built to accurately emulate PMUs operating in a real-world environment, including an analog power system emulator, commercially available PMUs, communication network, and Phasor Data Concentration. The dataset includes event information for each experiment, raw concentrated PMU data, time-aligned processed PMU data with topology information, a MATPOWER model of the power system, and a script to import processed data into MATPOWER application. Additionally, an example application of linear state estimation is presented based on this work."
