Here, we revealed that optogenetic activation of AgRP neurons alters liver transcriptome associated with autophagy, glucose metabolism, lipid metabolism and ß-oxidation. Overall design: 6mm Optic fibers were placed above the Arcuate Nucleus of adult AgRP-IRES-Cre wt/wt ROSA26 ChR2 fl/wt and AgRP-IRES-Cre tg/wt ROSA26 ChR2 fl/wt mice. Further, mice received either 2 hours or 4 hours of photosimulation in the light cycle in the absence of food.
