The dictionary contains affective meanings along Osgood's Evaluation-Potency-Activity (EPA) dimensions for 774 gendered social identities, 674 behaviours and 830 settings in French and German for a total of 2278 concepts. Mean Evaluation-Potency-Activity ratings for identities are provided separately for masculine and feminine forms. For social identities, ratings were provided by n = 700 French and n = 700 German participants. For behaviours, ratings were provided by a separate sample of n = 800 French and n = 800 German participants. A third sample of n = 800 French and n = 800 German participants provided ratings for settings. Ratings were collected following the procedure established in the tradition of Affect Control Theory. This work was supported by the Agence Nationale de la Recherche (Grant No. ANR-20-FRAL-0008) and the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (Grant No. SCHR1282/6-1) as part of the collaborative French-German funding program for the humanities and social sciences.
