COMPLEX NUMBERS AND THEIR APPLICATION IN ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING

This article explains the concept of complex numbers and their application in electrical engineering based on formulas. The algebraic representation, trigonometric and exponential forms of complex numbers and their importance in the analysis of alternating current circuits are analyzed. The phase relationship between current and voltage in electrical circuits is explained on a mathematical basis using the phasor method, impedance and Euler's formula.
