Sulfide-containing soil was incubated for 28 days after addition of cellulose. 12C-labeled cellulose and 13C-labeled cellulose were then added. Clear separation of heavy and light DNA was observed after 28 days. Metagenomic data were generated using triplicate replicates for each treatment. This metagenomic data was used to investigate the key genes, pathways, and MAGs affected by the addition of 12C-labeled cellulose.
