Dataset for “Predicting Suicidal Ideation Based on Perceived Social Support among Afghan Students in Tehran Universities

This dataset contains anonymized survey responses from a cross-sectional study involving 547 Afghan university students in Tehran, investigating a moderated mediation model predicting suicidal ideation based on perceived social support. The model included parallel mediators (emotional exhaustion, loneliness) and moderators (cultural intelligence, gender). The primary aim was to examine risk and protective mechanisms underlying suicide ideation among displaced Afghan youth in higher education settings. This dataset enables replication of the structural model using SEM and exploration of gender-specific and culturally moderated pathways.
