Crude oil reserves in Latin America 1960-2023

In 2023, proved oil reserves in Latin America amounted to more than 340 billion barrels. This value has remained relatively stable in the few years, however has nearly tripled in comparison to the beginning of the century. Venezuela holds the largest oil reserves in the world, and accounts for more than 90 percent of the Latin American region's reserves.
