Distance of Birds Species Spotted in the Grassland and Woodlot

A 25 meter belt transect was placed on the ground five times in each location sampled at York University campus: the grassland and the woodlot. Each time the transect was placed on the ground, the abundance and name of each bird species spotted were recorded. Bird species were identified by hearing the bird calls, and through observation (via a binocular or the naked eye) and the common name of the bird species were identified from a field guide book on birds. Also, the wind speed was recorded using the Beaufort scale and the distance of each species spotted was recorded in meter via the transect.
