Genomic Characterization of Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from cattle manure, Mymensingh, Bangladesh

This study investigates Acinetobacter baumannii isolated from dairy cattle manure and farm environments in Mymensingh, Bangladesh. The project aims to characterize the isolates through molecular detection, antimicrobial susceptibility profiling, biofilm formation assays and whole genome sequencing was performed to identify antimicrobial resistance determinants, virulence associated genes and genomic features of the isolates. The data generated from this study will contribute to understanding the distribution of antimicrobial resistance and pathogenic potential of Acinetobacter baumannii in agricultural environments. These findings are important for monitoring environmental reservoirs of opportunistic pathogens and antimicrobial resistance dissemination.
