Dataset for dental microwear texture analysis of an omnivorous canid (racoon dog) from northern Japan

This dataset was used in the publication entitled "Seasonal dietary flexibility in the omnivorous raccoon dog (Nyctereutes procyonoides, Canidae) revealed by dental microwear texture analysis: implications for paleoecology of canids" in "Palaeogeography, Palaeoclimatology, Palaeoecology".

This dataset includes below ZIP-compressed folders, in which contain MountainsMap analytical files in ".mnt" format, the analytical files in ".rtf" format, and surface data (filtered and processed) in ".sur" format:

M1_1.zip, M1_2.zip, M1_3.zip, M2_1.zip, M2_2.zip, M2_3.zip, and M2_4.zip.

".mnt" files can be opened with Mountains Map ver. 9 or later.
