Member of the genus Haererehalobater are hydrocarbonoclastic and are moderately halophilic. Hearerehalobacter spp. MFB021 was isolated from saline environment at Cochin, India. The organism grows optimally between 0.5-25% NaCl and in addition, it displays extraordinarily high halotolerance. Little genome data are currently available from this group of bacteria. In this study, we report the draft genome sequence of Hearerebacter spp. MFB021.
