While the revenue generated by restaurants recorded a progression each month in 2019 compared to the previous year, the first part of 2020 experienced a scenario drastically different. Indeed, the pandemic context caused by the COVID-19 virus constrained all restaurants to close their doors to the public for long-term periods in France in 2020. These measures implemented to avoid the virus spread hurt the restaurant turnover. The worst result was recorded in April 2020, where revenue change amounted to nearly - 90 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
