资源简介:
Plastic degradation by environmental bacteria has considerable potential impact for both human health and biotechnology. One such environmental bacterium capable of degrading plastic is Piscinibacter sakaiensis. Much of the previous work on P. sakaiensis has been focused on in vivo PET degradation with much less emphasis on the bacterium's physiology and metabolic response to other carbon sources. Consequently, the submitted RNAseq data provides the needed context for studies of P. sakaiensis when grown on complex media with and without additional carbon source supplementation. The submitted transcriptome datasets include raw sequence data, gene counts, and differential expression of Piscinibacter sakaiensis genes between three conditions that include growth on 702 complex medium, 702 medium with maltose supplementation, and 702 medium with PET supplementation. The submitted RNAseq data can be used to probe questions about the bacterium's physiological response under a variety of conditions while also providing important baseline data.
