Macleay Valley - Sustainable Grazing Practices and Winter Dung Beetle Trial

This project will provide a series of 5 locally relevant capacity building events. Leaders in the field will promote and deliver sustainable grazing and soil management practices, and winter dung beetle trials, in a way that removes barriers to those farmers interested in adopting new practices. It is anticipated that approximately 500 ha of prime grazing land will potentially benefit from the project by up to 20 different land managers. It is anticipated that this project will result in improved soil health, water quality, stock and human food nutrition, carbon storage, reduced use of chemicals and artificial fertilisers and reduced spread of buffalo fly.
