This interview is part of the Women, Risk and Aids Project (1989-90) archive which was created as part of the Reanimating Data Project (2018-20).<br>Original transcript of interview with Fatima, a second generation immigrant whose parents are from Turkey. She isn't too fussed about children at the moment and is enjoying her freedom. Fatima found the TV programmes and adverts on AIDS unrealistic and embarrassing. She has some very strong, left-wing anti-Thatcher political values, and thinks that the Conservative party should have more young people on board to reach a wider cross-section of society. Her parents are both strict Muslims, but Fatima does not agree with much of the religion - there is a big cultural clash between her and her parents, though Fatima comes across as very strong-willed and politically driven.
