Merged multiscale seismic velocity models for southern California (CVM-S4.26-Fang_etal_2019)

merged_model_regular.dat: Reconstructed seismic velocity models used in section 4.2 of Zhang & Ben-Zion, 2024 (https://doi.org/10.1029/2023JB027016) at regular grid points for the region bounds by coordinates [[-120.51, 32.29], [-120.51, 36.58], [-114.51, 36.58], [-114.51, 32.29]]. The dataset adheres to the following format: longitude, latitude, altitude with respect to sea level (in kilometers), Vp (velocity of P-waves in km/s), and Vs (velocity of S-waves in km/s).

merged_model_gll.dat: Reconstructed seismic velocity models used in section 4.2 of Zhang & Ben-Zion, 2024 (https://doi.org/10.1029/2023JB027016) at Gauss-Lobato-Legendre (GLL) points within the framework of Spectral Elements (SEM), which includes the model's topographic details. The spectral elements are in irregular shapes due to the topography and are implemented by deforming the mesh grid in the vertical direction. The dataset adheres to the following format: longitude, latitude, depth with respect to free surface (in kilometers), Vp (velocity of P-waves in km/s), and Vs (velocity of S-waves in km/s).
