Renal pelvis urobiome dysbiosis is associated with postoperative systemic inflammatory response syndrome after percutaneous nephrolithotomy

Patients who received unilateral PCNL for urolithiasis from 2022 July to 2022 December in our department were recruited. They were categorized into SIRS (+) group and the SIRS (-) group according to postoperative SIRS status. Renal pelvis urine samples were collected via puncturing before PCNL and were used for 2bRAD-M sequencing to characterize the urobiome. Clinical data and renal pelvis urobiome were compared between post-PCNL SIRS (+) and SIRS (-) groups. Predictive models for post-PCNL SIRS were constructed by using significant differential clinical and microbial index.
