Klebsiella species and antimicrobial resistance in food products

A recent study (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.fm.2022.104196) described the isolation of Klebsiella from diverse key food products (chicken, pork, prawns, salmon and leafy greens) at retail. This current study aimed to investigate the genomic population dynamics of the Klebsiella species, and identify the antimicrobial resistance (AMR), virulence and metal tolerance genes across the different sources. A collection of 513 Klebsiella isolates were sequenced on an Illumina NextSeq instrument (150bp paired-end reads).
