BOB09 cruise
收藏资源简介:
Oceanographic cruise BOB09 was conducted aboard the R/V Urania by CNR-IGAG in collaboration with the Department of Earth Sciences at Sapienza, University of Rome, and dedicated to the memory of Bob Woolsey, professor at the University of Mississippi and director of the del Mississippi Mineral Resources Institute. The purpose of the cruise was the collection of high-resolution seismic profiles on the Calabro-Tyrrhenian continental margin for studying its recent morpho-stratigraphic evolution, with particular attention to the Gioia-Mesima Canyon/Channel System. The seismic lines acquired with a Sparker source during the cruise were used for preparing the manuscript "Morpho-stratigraphic evolution of a tectonically controlled canyon-channel system in the Gioia Basin (Southern Tyrrhenian Sea)" in press on Marine Geology.
