The project aims to investigate the composition and dynamics of microbial communities associated with early developmental stages of marine cephalopods. By performing 16S rRNA gene amplicon sequencing on tissues and environmental samples (e.g., eggs, larvae, surrounding seawater, or feed), this study seeks to uncover the microbial transmission patterns from parent to offspring and their potential roles in host development, immunity, and health.
