Lens images of AB and TL wildtype zebrafish strains

The lenses of the 4dpf zebrafish larva were live imaged and photographed using Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) illumination, using an inverted microscope (Nikon Eclipse Ti-E) equipped with Zyla 4.2 PLUS sCMOS camera (Zyla 4.2, Andor) and NIS-Elements AR acquisition software (Nikon). AB, TL and mCherry zebrafish lines were used. Images were collected from multiple clutches. The broodstocks used in producing those clutches were obtained from multiple housing tanks in our facility. The images are in .tif file format. Images are named as Strain_TankNumber_ClutchNumber_ImageNumber.
For each fish, a single lens image was captured. Images were evaluated for cataracts using the ImageJ program. The evaluation process adhered to the guidelines set forth by Zhao et al., 2021, which included an assessment of the severity of the cataracts. In addition to lens images, the cataract score sheet is provided. Clutch-wise and tank-wise statistics on cataract occurrences were computed, and the accompanying R scripts used for these calculations are included.
