Terrestrial epigeal arthropod occurrences across micro-environments in the San Jorge Natural Reserve (Ludueña stream floodplain, Argentina)
收藏资源简介:
Dataset Description This dataset contains the richness matrix of terrestrial epigeal invertebrates (mainly Arthropoda) sampled across a 5,000 m² sector covering a 140 m stretch along the banks of the Ludueña stream, within the San Jorge Natural Reserve (32°57'S, 60°47'W), located in the stream's floodplain (Funes, Santa Fe, Argentina). Field sampling was conducted in two campaigns during November and December 2024. Sampling was carried out using pitfall traps, supplemented by active manual searching and direct field observations, across four representative micro-environments: two low-lying areas (a clayey beach with halophytic vegetation and a cordgrass field dominated by Sporobolus spartinae) and two elevated natural levees (an herbaceous levee and a native woody levee). The matrix provides detailed taxonomic hierarchy (Class, Order, Family, Genus/Species or Morphospecies), trophic guilds, and ant functional groups per sampling unit, recorded as presence/absence binary data (1 = present, 0 = absent). For each record, the developmental stage of the specimen is specified (adult, larva, or nymph). The abbreviation cf. (confer) indicates that taxonomic identification requires further confirmation by a specialist. This dataset supports the following publications: Montero et al. (2026).
