Gut microbial divergence between three hadal amphipod species from the isolated hadal trenches

These findings pointed to the enrichment of particular functional pathways in the gut microbiota of the different isolated Trench amphipods, and given the different carbon input information and geological characters of the isolated hadal trenches, which suggest that the differences in the community structure might be due to several selective factors, such as habitat environments, microbial interactions, and host genetic background.
