Coordinating Food System Transitions Across Scales: A Systematic Review of Governance Architectures in Agri-Food Research

This repository contains the analytical dataset and supporting documentation for the manuscript, "Coordinating Food-System Transitions Across Scales: A Systematic Review of Governance Architectures in Agri-Food Research" (under review at Global Food Security). The repository includes the final coding matrix and documentation used in a systematic interpretive review of agrifood transition scholarship. An initial corpus of 238 records was screened and clustered, yielding a final analytical corpus of 42 studies for comparative coding and synthesis. The review examines how different agrifood literatures—including systems modeling, trade-off analysis, governance, participatory approaches, and transitions research—organize coordination across scales, actors, institutions, and objectives. Coding focused on governance entry points, scale logics, coordination mechanisms, participation structures, trade-off handling, and recurrent omissions.
