资源简介:
Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge provides a number of recreational opportunities for the visiting public. These opportunities include hiking, biking, freshwater fishing, surf fishing, kayaking and wildlife observation and photography. Nine trails guide visitors in experiencing the habitats of the wildlife refuge. Back Bay NWR is also the northern access point to False Cape State Park, a Virginia State Park to the south of the wildlife refuge. Access to the state park is available by hiking or biking on the interior gravel trails or on the beach of the wildlife refuge. Alternatively visitors may kayak or boat down to the state park (a non-motorized boat launch is available at the wildlife refuge). The trailhead locations in this feature layer will be used for Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge's Trail Guide Experience. The following trailheads are included in this layer:

Seaside Trail

Charles Kuralt Trail

Sunset Point Loop

Raptor Trail

D-Pool Loop

Dune Trail

Back Bay Beach

East Dike Trail

West Dike Trail

False Cape State Park Entrance

Information about each trail are included in the attribute table and populate a pop-up in a map. This information is intended to be used in a trail guide Experience, providing the public with a virtual map option while exploring Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge.
