Acute LPS-induced inflammation lowers IL-2R signaling and the proliferative potential of regulatory T cells

In this project, we show that acute inflammation by high dose LPS led to decreased endogenous STAT5 signaling and proliferative potential as measured by Ki67 in Tregs. Global gene expression analyses by RNASeq also show that acute LPS-induced inflammation substantially and rapidly altered the Treg transcriptome, particularly with respect to genes induced by the IL-2R agonist, the mIL-2/CD25 fusion protein.
