Kelp cover data from: Hurricane-mediated defoliation of kelp beds and pulsed delivery of kelp detritus to offshore sedimentary habitats. A Canadian Healthy Oceans Network Ecosystem Function Project, EF-11

Kelp % cover measured in shallow kelp beds (5-25 m depth range) before and after Hurricane Earl hit the coast of Nova Scotia in Sept 2010. Data were collected with video transects at 8 sites in St Margarets Bay and Sambro Island, near Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. Depth (m) and date of transect are recorded.
