This dataset covers geochemical data and analytical information of 20 sedimentary rock samples from the Cambrian Qiongzhusi Formation in the Yinmachi section of central Yunnan. Specifically, it includes tables for major element content (Table 1), trace element content (Table 2), rare earth element content (Table 3), as well as detailed calculation steps for relevant parameters. The testing work of whole rock geochemical elements was entrusted to Guangzhou Ausilicon Mineral Laboratory. Before testing, the rock samples were systematically pre processed. The specific process is as follows: first, the original rock samples are put into a small crusher for preliminary crushing, and then the crushed rock particles are further crushed in a tungsten carbide mortar and a vibrating crusher until the sample particle size reaches below 200 mesh to meet the experimental requirements of subsequent element content testing. During the testing process, the content of major elements was detected using PANalytical brand X-ray fluorescence spectrometer (XRF), with an analysis accuracy of better than 5%; The content of trace elements and rare earth elements was detected using Agilent brand inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometer (ICP-MS), with an analysis accuracy of better than 10%. The entire experimental process, testing methods, and analysis accuracy strictly follow the national standard GB/T 14506.14-2010, ensuring the reliability and scientificity of the dataset.
