Urinary and plasma metabolites contributing to the separation between the AVS patients and healthy controls.

Data were derived by GC-MS analysis of urine and plasma samples from 46 patients and 46 controls. Data were normalized to the internal standard 2-isopropylmalic acid. Variable importance in the projection (VIP) was obtained from PLS-DA with a threshold of 1.0; p-values are calculated from a volcano plot; q-values are the adjusted p-value with Benjamini-Hochberg method. Area Under the Curve (AUC) was calculated using the online tool MetaboAnalyst to determine biomarker utility. Regulation gives information on up- or down-regulation of the features in AVS patients.
