Our project seeks to demonstrate: 1) AWP wind and aerosol backscatter observations resulting from varied aerosol, cloud, and weather conditions over and offshore of the U.S. 2) The strengths/weaknesses of AWP and how it compares with dropsondes, GOES-16/18 atmospheric motion vectors (AMVs), and NWP model prediction. 3) What might data from an AWP-like sensor look like if it were collected from space?
