A new model agnostic isotope tracer simulator (MAITsim) has been developed, which can be used to simulate isotope tracer values for many different hydrologic models. The performance of this new model has been tested by comparing it to a previously developed specific embedded model, isoWATFLOOD. This data set is a comparison of the results from MAITsim and isoWATFLOOD. Both models simulate isotope tracer values for hydrologic storages and flows from the hydrologic model WATFLOOD. All files needed to recreate the final results are included, in addition to the results data. Contents: isoWATFLOOD model: • All model input files • 2 versions of the executable: one that outputs normal isoWATFLOOD results (splx) and another that outputs the hydrologic state and flow internal values (splx_MAITsimOuthour) [Output files hijacked for MAITsim input are: dGW.csv, dIF.csv, dSTR.csv and dWET.csv] isoWATFLOOD code: • The embedded isotope model code, with the modification for full output needed to run MAITsim on the Sapochi MAITsim input: • Build script • Flux link data • Imported data from WATFLOOD csv files MAITsim: • Version of MAITsim used for the comparison (both isotopes, in R and MATLAB) Data analysis: • Isotope observations for the Sapochi River • Model output data (both MAITsim and isoWATFLOOD) • Scripts for generating results plots • Script for RMSE calculation
