Street — Tree — Landscape character precincts

Brisbane City Council has identified several different landscape character precincts suitable for planting street trees across the city. Council has identified these different landscape character precincts as the basis for appropriate tree species selection. These precincts are based on elevation and geography across the city. Brisbane's landscape precinct types include: coastal – by the Moreton Bay coast wetlands – flooded lands like Boondall Wetlands riparian – creek side areas along citywide waterways undulating plains – suburban plains and rolling hills higher land – elevated prominent hills arterial roads – high-traffic major roads. Motorways and water bodies are excluded from the above precincts. This dataset shows the landscape character precincts.
