Gypsum endolithic phototrophic community from Sicily, Poland, and Israel

A SSU rRNA amplicon metabarcoding study of the gypsum endolithic prokaryotic community. The goal of the study is to better understand the composition of the microbial endolithic community in this understudied type of substrate. The SUU rRNA sequence data of the community dominated by phototrophic cyanobacteria is linked to light microscopy, single-cell sequencing, and Raman spectroscopy (pigment composition) data.
