Avenanthramide metabotype from whole grain oat intake is influenced by Faecalibacterium prausnitzii

Avena sativa L. (oat), a key food for human health, may be metabolized with individual differences that determine how people differentially benefit from consumption of oats. The aim of this study is to pinpoint the mechanism of individual variations in response to whole grain (WG) oat intake. This work paves the way for future explorations of how the status of the human metagenome impacts the health benefits of oat intake.
