The purpose of the Kivalliq Inuit Association’s Inuu'tuti Monitoring Program is to unite the principles of Inuit Qaujimajatuqangit with other scientific methods to develop a holistic monitoring program for understanding the impacts of climate change and increased human activity on Canada’s Arctic. The questions, “Are the fish safe to eat?”, and “Is the water safe to drink?” reflect community concerns and form the core of the program. This dataset comprises water quality data collected across several culturally relevant lakes and rivers across the Kivalliq Region of Nunavut.
