Technical Performance Analytics of 120 Academic Library Websites Worldwide (2024)

This dataset provides a holistic technical performance evaluation of 120 academic library websites around the globe. Technical Performance Analytics were systematically collected between January and March 2024, encompassing a total of 70 variables. The dataset emphasises critical indicators and sub-metrics for Search Engine Optimisation (SEO), Speed, and security. It offers a detailed analytical framework for assessing the digital readiness of these libraries, addressing technical characteristics, structural elements, and performance metrics. All the metrics (variables) were collected using checkbot.io. The dataset could be used for comparative analyses and scholarly research within the domain of Information Science, and specifically for setting a ground and hands-on evaluation of academic libraries' websites.
