资源简介:
TP lake volume changes, individual annual series 1990-2015----------------------------------------------------------This is the lake area/level/volume data presented in the study: Treichler, D., Kääb, A., Salzmann, N., and Xu, C.-Y.: Recent glacier and lake changes in High Mountain Asia and their relation to precipitation changes, The Cryosphere, 13, 2977–3005, https://doi.org/10.5194/tc-13-2977-2019, 2019. Correspondence: Désirée Treichler, Department of Geosciences, University of Oslo, Norway (desiree.treichler@geo.uio.no)  Lake areas of endorheic lakes on the Tibetan Plateau (TP) are retrieved from timeseries of satellite imagery for the years 1990 through 2015.Corresponding lake levels are retrieved by two methods:1.) from the median surface elevation of the shoreline, as from the SRTM DEM (acquired in the year 2000, when lakes were rather smaller than later)2.) from ICESat-2 laser altimetry measurements of the surface elevation. The lake areas and levels are set into relation to derive an area/level relationship for each lake. These relationships are used to interpolate and extrapolate for lake area measurements where no direct measurements of lake level exist. The changes in lake level and area are combined to lake volume changes. Lakes that are affected by human influence (e.g. dammed, partly used for industrial purposes...) or insufficient areal data were removed. Lakes are identifiable across tables with their unique LakeID attribute. A detailed method description is available in Treichler et al. (2019). The README provides more details to the datasets.
