Time-resolved DNA-SIP combined with quantitative PCR and high-throughput sequencing was applied to determine the metabolic activity of Accumulibacter and Competibacter coexisting in an actual wastewater treatment system. Five activated sludge samples were collected at the 0h, 6h, 18h 30h and 42 h.
