Fintech companies worldwide with female founders 2021, by region

In 2021, less than two percent of the fintech companies worldwide were completely founded by women. The share of female-founded fintech businesses was the highest in Africa at 3.2 percent, and it was the lowest in North America at 0.7 percent. The share of fintech companies founded both by women and men was on average 9.9 percent globally.
