The characteristics of cortical activation and functional connectivity during the performance of different attention tasks in brain-injured patients: A fNIRS study

The study is clinical research and presents new information about patients with brain injury maintaining attentional function through enhanced activation of frontoparietal networks and functional connectivity across brain regions, suggesting a possible mechanism for neuroplasticity of attentional function in brain injury.
