Dupilumab and Alopecia Areata

Some providers have used dupilumab off-label for the treatment of recalcitrant alopecia areata, particularly in patients with atopic dermatitis. However, many clinicians have noted mixed results, with some patients reporting improvement while other patients experiencing new-onset or worsening alopecia areata. The purpose of this systematic review was to investigate the clinical characteristics and outcomes in cases of dupilumab-treated and dupilumab-induced alopecia areata.
