资源简介:
Data sets contain total, angle-integrated gamma-ray spectra, Doppler-corrected for 208Pb reaction kinematics. The first column contains gamma ray energy in keV, the second column contains the number of counts, and the third column contains uncertainties. Gamma-ray energy spectra were obtained from a Coulomb excitation study of the doubly magic nucleus lead-208 performed at Argonne National Laboratory. The experiment used a heavy-ion beam delivered by the ATLAS accelerator to excite a 208Pb target under sub-barrier conditions, ensuring dominance of electromagnetic interactions. Gamma rays emitted from excited nuclear states were detected with the GRETINA gamma-ray tracking array, while scattered particles were measured using the CHICO2 charged-particle detector system. Coincidence measurements between gamma rays and scattered ions enabled the precise determination of excitation yields, angular distributions, and electromagnetic matrix elements.
