Reference transcriptome expressions of Western honeybee, Apis mellifera. Apis mellifera

Honeybee is an important insect for agriculture (e.g., honey productions and pollinators of some crops.) and a model insect for social insects. Western honeybee, Apis mellifera, is a representative species of honeybee species. Due to its importance, reference genome sequences of Apis species have been reported, and the reference transcriptome data of Apis mellifera was constructed. To promote producing Honey bees with good phenotype by genome editing or research of social insects, the expression data of the reference transcripts from several stages, including late-larva, pre-pupa, pupa, late-pupa and adult, of worker or queen, were prepared. The expression data can contribute to achieving the aims described above.
