2m ArcticDEM Strip DEMs and Hillshades for Shiveluch Volcano, Kamchatka: Shiveluch and Karan Lava Domes (2013-2024)
收藏资源简介:
This dataset provides a time-series of cloud-masked 2-meter (2m) resolution Digital Elevation Models (DEMs) and derived multidirectional hillshades for the Shiveluch Volcano, Kamchatka. The data is clipped to two distinct areas of interest (AOIs): the Karan Lava Dome and the Young Shiveluch Lava Dome. AOIs are manually filtered based on cloud coverage over the respective dome and area of coverage (ArcticDEM strip must cover >80% of the AOI). Users can reprocess data (Python and Bash shell) for all ArcticDEM collections using resources in the processing_code archive. The data spans from September 2020 to July 2024 and March 2013 to December 2024 for the Shiveluch and Karan domes respectively and is sourced from the Polar Geospatial Center's (PGC) ArcticDEM strip collection. This dataset is intended to support geodetic analysis and morphological monitoring of volcanic processes, such as lava dome growth, collapse, and mass wasting events. There are 4 ArcticDEM acquisitions for the Shiveluch Dome and 12 for the Karan Dome. The .tar archives contain the COGs (1-band DEM and 1-band hillshade for each ArcticDEM strip) and a STAC-compliant .json file for each respective dome.
