<p>This study contains data on employee work schedules and characteristics of employee benefits paid for, at least in part, by the employer. These benefits include lunch and rest periods, holidays, vacations, and personal, funeral, jury-duty, military parental, and sick leave; sickness and accident, long-term disability, and life insurance; health and dental care, and private retirement/capital accumulation plans. Information was also collected on receipt of several other benefits, including severance pay, subsidized parking, financial counseling, child care assistance, wellness programs, employee assistance programs, and educational assistance. In addition, information was obtained on flexible benefits plans, reimbursement accounts, and unpaid parental leave. (Source: Bureau of Labor Statistics Bulletin 2363, June 1990)</p>
