We conducted a comprehensive RNA-seq analysis of early transcriptomic changes in KHM-5M to decipher the underlying mechanism of sodium selenite. Thyroid cancer cells(KHM-5M) were treated with PBS (negative control) or sodium selenite respectively. Cells were harvested and Total RNA was extracted using Trizol reagent and purified by Oligo(dT)-attached magnetic beads. the single end 50 bases reads were generated on BGIseq500 platform (BGI-Shenzhen, China). The sequencing data was filtered with SOAPnuke, stored in FASTQ format, and mapped to HISAT2 (v2.0.4). The expression level was calculated by RSEM (v1.2.12).
