Title: Short-Term Carbon Responses to Biochar and Compost Amendments in a Degraded Peri-Urban Community Farm Authors: Tram M. Tran, Morgan O'Neil , Dayna Alemy , Matthew Murray , Yousef Ghaly , Anthony Vilardi , Pranjal Patel, Nicolina Lentine , Leonard L. Richardson , Iman S. Cumberbatch , Gabriella Pagano, Tess Mullen , Meg Vetter, Dominique Lueckenhoff, Nina Goodey, and Amy R. Tuininga Journal: SOIL (Copernicus) FILES: - soil-020626.csv: Raw soil organic matter (%) measurements by treatment and plot ID, collected at the Foodshed Alliance SAgE Farm, Andover NJ, summer 2025. Analyzed at Rutgers University Soil Testing Laboratory. - flux_data.csv: Raw EGM-5 CO2 flux measurements (P4, g CO2/m2/hr) by treatment and replicate. - soil_analysis_revised.Rmd: R Markdown script for all statistical analyses, carbon decay modeling, and figure generation. SOFTWARE: R version 4.x. Required packages: tidyverse, ggplot2, deSolve, car, dunn.test. TO REPRODUCE: Open soil_analysis_revised.Rmd in RStudio, place all CSV files in the same working directory, and knit or run chunks sequentially. DATA COLLECTION: June–July 2025. Soil samples composited into n=3 analytical replicates per treatment. CO2 flux measured with EGM-5 (PP Systems) SRC-2 chamber. CONTACT: tran_n3@denison.edu
