In eukaryotes, endogenous short RNAs (esRNAs) usually are produced fromdouble-stranded RNA (dsRNA) by Dicer. In fusarium graminearum, Dicer-like-1(dcl1), was highly expressed in sexual stage. To explore the biogenesis of sexual-specific esRNAs, the small RNA sequencing was conducted with the 7 day past self-fertilization samples of fusarium graminearum wild-type strain PH-1 and dcl deletion mutants.
