Supplementary Dataset on Urban Mitigation Pathways to Decarbonise Infrastructure: Final Energy Use
收藏资源简介:
This dataset is an additional supplement to the original research work in an article on “Urban mitigation pathways for decarbonising infrastructure across sectors for sustainability” (Kılkış, forthcoming). The 33 datasheets in this dataset are organised into six domains and focus on providing sectoral data on the final energy use that is associated with the annual territorial carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions per urban area by sector, as well as their totals. These values on final energy use are provided for a baseline and three alternative scenarios up to the year 2050. In addition, results based on 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations per scenario are provided, alongside reference data for urban areas, as follows: The first four domains, each with seven datasheets for 28 datasheets, contain data on the final energy use that is associated with the sectoral emissions per urban area for a total of 1200 urban areas under the baseline and alternative scenarios between the years 2022 and 2050, including 5-year increments. The datasheets cover the sectors of energy (EN), transport (TN), residential (RD), industry (IN), waste (WT), and agriculture (AG), and the total associated final energy use during this timeframe under the scenarios. The datasheets are given in the order of the baseline (Bᵢ), renewable energy (S1), low demand (S2), and shifting pathways (S3) scenarios. Based on the previous four domains, the fifth domain, with four datasheets, contains data on the final energy use that is associated with the sectoral emission totals between the years 2025 and 2050 for 1200 urban areas under 10,000 Monte Carlo simulations. The results of these simulated values are provided based on the mean and the 5th-95th percentile range under the Monte Carlo simulations, which are conducted for the baseline and three alternative scenarios. The sixth domain with one datasheet contains reference data for the 1200 urban areas based on per capita final energy use per sector and in total in units of GJ per capita in 2022 and urban populations in the same reference year. The countries in which the urban areas are located, and their regions based on a classification of both five and six regions worldwide, are also provided. The data structure, based on the data class descriptions, scope of the data, data type, and unit, is described in the information sheet. Overall, the 33 datasheets contain about half a million cells of data with 499,496 cells in total. This additional supplement on final energy use supports the process of disassociating emissions from energy use at the urban level and is also described in an original research article submitted to Energy.
